The ZenSutra Experience
As anyone associated with ZenSutra would
tell you, we know how to de-stress. We know how to balance the pressures
of work with moments of undiluted fun and festivity in our daily
lives. Major festivals and multicultural events become a part of
the celebrations all through the year. Our team members get to explore
individual talents through sports activities and learn to demonstrate
spontaneity and creative thinking. There are several opportunities
to express themselves through a variety of imaginative outlets.
Here are just a few things we do which in essence defines the ZenSutra
way:
"De-stressing
at Bheemeshwari"

We
at ZenSutra, believe that one needs to de-stress before it becomes
a cause for distress. An initiative in this direction was the
one-day outing to the Cauvery Fishing camp at Bheemeshwari.
Being in the lap of Mother Nature was considered to be the best
way to encourage our city slickers to stretch their limbs and
minds and it proved to be all that and much, much more.
The blazing sun, the gurgling streams, the cool shade of the
trees, the myriad sounds of woods, the freely roaming herds
of cows all contributed to make the outing the picturesque collage
that it turned out to be.
The hike in the forenoon, was a true test of our stamina and
resolve and the highlight was a challenging yet exhilarating
river crossing. Our team put their engineering talents to work
and designed a path of stones across the water- a reminder that
tales from our mythology can still inspire us to heroic feats.
Lunch was followed by a lazy afternoon in the shade and a frolicking
dip in the refreshing waters of Cauvery - just the cooling off
needed to round off a great day.
Take care - for if you say, " Another Trip Anyone?"
you'll be met with a chorus of "YEA!!"s and not a single "nay"

"Clamor
in Color"
We recently started a new creative initiative
at ZenSutra - "Vibrant Clamor". Clamor is the recreation area
at our office where our people let off their steam and confabulate
on varied topics, unhindered!
We covered the walls with caricatures of our team members -
the business guys, the finance honchos, the HR folks, the ping
pong enthusiasts, the IT crack team, and several of our technology
team super heroes. The results were astounding and there is
only one way for you to experience what we can every day - see
some pictures of this incredible endeavor.
This wonderful experience made us realize yet another dimension
of our creative potential as a team. In our spare moments, we
continue to be Clamorous but now it's an even more colorful
experience!! |

"World Cup Time"
The
much awaited cricket match between the internal teams evoked so
much interest that other things became insignificant temporarily.
Both the teams looked determined to mould things their way rather
than wait for it to happen on its own, the philosophy they have
been following at ZenSutra.
With the world cup fever at its peak, this was an excellent opportunity
for the team to de-stress.
The cheer leaders and spectators had a great time watching a pitched
battle for the coveted position.
Life
at ZenSutra is real fun..........just like Cricket.
The colors of Holi!
Holi - the festival
marking the beginning of spring is best enjoyed with a dash of color
and the occasional sprinkle of "holi" water. Spring 2002
saw the ZenSutra team descend on the company lawns dressed in spotless
white and not leave without the splash of "gulal" - well
OK maybe a bit more than just a sprinkle! Each face and shirt truly
reflected the colorful team that we are!
"Egg-ling Alley"
This summer ZenSutra
celebrated it's first anniversary with a series of events. One of
the most creative (we even coined a new name for it!), interactive
and visually rewarding was the bowling alley for raw eggs - the
Eggling Alley! Teams, with limited resources at hand, applied their
best planning, program management and execution skills to find the
most innovative way to turn raw eggs into indestructible bowling
balls. The survivors were suitably rewarded and others did well
not to get egg on their faces!
Ping Pong Anyone?
The annual ZenSutra
Ping-pong fest brought out hidden talent across the team. The month
long competition was fiercely fought and the Clamor room was temporarily
turned into a Greek arena with spectators cheering the underdogs
to show their prowess. The conclusion of the event led to the award
of impressive titles like Mr. Ping Pong, Mr. King Pong, Mr. Sing
Song and Mr. Ding Dong. The competition promises to be even more
closely contested next year as some local state level players are
rumored to have honed
their programming skills and joined the
ZenSutra team. All for a goodcause!
Zollywood Bound?
That the ZenSutra
team is technically talented goes without saying, however, the depth
of theatrical and music talent continues to surprise even our most
ardent admirers. Given the opportunity, teams jump on stage and
actively participate in any creative challenge they may be faced
with! Our team members have proven time and again that they can
put the best known Bollywood talent to shame - be it writing a new
script, reining in temperamental actors, and performing on-stage
- all in less time than it takes to say "why am I still sitting
in Bangalore?"
