Case Study I - Collaboration Services Platform using XML and SOAP

Background - A leading application service provider wanted to architect and implement integration capabilities in its collaboration and business process management application to enable its business partners and customers access the rich functionality the application offered. The requirement was to provide an independent integration layer that provided seamless integration capabilities and had negligible impact on the existing application business layer.

Solution - ZenSutra helped architect and implement the integration layer platform (ILP), with XML and SOAP as the underlying foundation. We defined XML schemas for 50+ business objects and implemented 250+ SOAP based APIs that resulted in a state of the art integration platform. An overview of the integration architecture is provided below.

Results - This integration layer was successfully deployed in the ASP environment as well as the intranet environment of several clients. Successful integration with enterprise applications such as Documentum and Clarify were implemented in record time using the ILP resulting in huge productivity gains and savings for them.

Case Study II - Rich Windows UI Client using Visual Studio 6.0 and XML

Background - Leading technology provider's requirement was to design and develop a rich Windows UI client for its BPM (Business Process Management) application. They required advanced and intuitive usability features, since their target users were highly skilled and proficient and expected substantial productivity gains from the use of this application.

Solution - ZenSutra designed and implemented a rich Windows UI Client using Visual C++, Visual Basic, XML and SOAP. UI Client's capabilities included a modular design based on MVC architecture and features such as Drag 'n Drop, MDI Interface, Hyper-links, Docking toolbars and support windows, Context sensitive menus, etc.

Results - This UI Client was successfully deployed at multiple enterprise environments and the user acceptance was very high. The information architecture was designed using an MS-Outlook framework, thus minimizing the learning process and optimizing the training time.


Case Study III - DHTML Forms Generator (Parser) using XML and SOAP

Background- Large multinational had a requirement for a technology component, which could generate DHTML Forms at run-time. Form definitions and parameters were to be provided on the fly by the system users.

Solution- ZenSutra designed and implemented a state of the art solution to parse XML definitions and generate DHTML forms on the fly. We also developed detailed data schemas to define Forms widgets, provide data entry and enable validation of rules.

Results- This solution is currently being integrated with another corporate application. It provides significant value as it eliminates design time effort to define and implement new forms.
